Potary Privacy Policy
Potary is a user-generated 3D sharing app. This Privacy Policy explains what information Potary collects, how it is used, and what choices users have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information such as email address, username, display name, biography, and profile image.
- User-generated content such as 3D model uploads, preview images, titles, descriptions, categories, reports, and moderation-related metadata.
- Session and security information such as authentication tokens, user agent details, and IP address logs used to protect accounts and operate the service.
- Optional location information when a user enables location sharing and chooses to publish a post with coordinates or location labels.
- Support and safety contact details submitted when a user reaches out to Potary.
2. How we use information
- To create and manage user accounts.
- To host, display, search, and moderate user posts.
- To allow public or private profile settings and optional location sharing preferences.
- To investigate abuse, enforce community rules, and respond to reports.
- To support account deletion, security monitoring, bug diagnosis, and service reliability.
3. Location information
Exact location sharing is optional in Potary. If a user enables location sharing and grants device permission, Potary may attach post coordinates and a broad location label to that user’s post. If location sharing is disabled, Potary should not publish user-supplied location metadata in posts.
Potary may also log request IP addresses on the backend for security, abuse prevention, and operational review.
4. How information is shared
- Public profile and post information may be visible to other users when the account or post is public.
- Moderation and report information may be reviewed internally for safety and abuse handling.
- Potary does not state that it sells personal information.
5. Data retention
Potary retains account and post data for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, and enforce platform safety. When a user deletes an account, Potary is intended to remove the profile, uploaded posts, reports, and active session data associated with that account.
6. User choices
- Users can manage profile visibility and location sharing settings inside the app.
- Users can sign out inside the app.
- Users can delete their account inside the app.
- Users can contact support about privacy or safety questions at support@potary.app or safety@potary.app.
7. Children’s privacy
Potary is not intended for children under 13, and Potary does not intentionally describe itself as collecting personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
Potary may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
